Welcome - The Kingston and District Netball League was established almost 30 years ago and is now recognised as one of the most successful leagues within the county of Surrey. We aim to:
League - The KDNL league provides a high standard of competitive netball. There are currently 45 clubs providing the 70 teams in our league. We also have a number of clubs and teams waiting to join us if a vacancy arises. The season runs from September to April/May with breaks for Christmas and Easter. There are eight teams in each of our nine divisions (except divisions 8/9 which have 7 teams). At the end of each season, teams placed first or second are promoted; teams placed seventh or eighth are relegated. Results can be viewed on the results pages.
Knockout Cup - In addition to the League fixtures, we stage two Knockout Cup competitions; one for Divisions 1-4 and one for Divisions 5-9 teams. Teams that enter are handicapped depending upon which division they play in. The team in the lower division is awarded 5 goals per division at the start of each game. This allows teams in lower divisions to play competitively against their opponents (see results pages). The Cup finals are played at the end of April at a neutral venue.
End of Season Rally - The End of Season Rally is held in June to celebrate the season and have fun! Teams that enter the rally are placed in mixed pools for the morning session. Teams are then reallocated to either the Cup or Plate competitions in the afternoon.
League Committee - The League is run by a committee of six elected members comprising: - Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Results Secretary Div 1-4, Results Secretary Div 5-9 and a Rules Advisor. In addition, there are eight League representatives, who are nominated from the Clubs who win their respective Divisions.
Other Information (please visit other pages on website) - The KDNL Annual General Meeting is held in June. If you would like to apply to enter the league or join a club, please contact the league secretary. The KDNL is roughly bounded by M25 (J6-J15), M4 (J4-J1) and A22 (Purley) to M25 (J6). Please see KDNL rules.
